My name is Karen, I come from a large family and I am married with a husband, daughter and a family dog.

I have an inherently caring and nurturing disposition and my reflective nature and listening capability have led me to become a qualified counsellor.

I have trained as a Psychodynamic Counsellor at Leicester University and then went on to gain a Foundation Degree in Integrative Counselling. I have gained my practical experience at the Northampton Rape Crisis, dealing with a whole host of problems. Though each client may have experienced similar abuse, the impact varied enormously. An integrative approach has deemed the most productive, allowing me to adapt theory to suit the client.

I am passionate about my work, helping others to resolve internal conflicts and deep rooted problems. Some of the challenges in life that we are presented with, for example, loss of a job, marriage/relationship breakdown, bereavement, abuse (physical or mental), can be overwhelming, leading to anxiety, fear, low self-esteem, stress, self-harm, addiction and mental health issues.

If you feel that I can assist you to work through your individual struggles then please get in touch.
